Totally different unit. You need to swap out the whole thing.

You'll need the specific anti-theft code number for the unit — if the wrecker doesn't have it, I'd walk away.

The rest is pretty easy.

To obtain the pin you will need the VIN number from the wrecker plus the serial number from the unit make sure you take the sales docket to the dealer or they wont help you .

Hoping some of you guys can assist me with a query - been trying to find out whether i need to do any upgrades on a 08 GTI to install a RCD510 unit? Or is it a straight swap?

Is the RCD510 supposed to display titles of CDs as well as the individual tracks? Mine doesn't display any titles at the moment - ie it just lists them as "CD1", "CD2", ....... "Track 1", "Track 2", ..................................
