RCD 510 Touchscreen calibration

hey All,

I have been having some weird problems with my Golf VI GTI's RCD 510.

Sometimes, when you press an item on the touchscreen to select it, it selects the item below it or for the icons on the top it doesn't let me select them at all.

Is there any way to recalibrate the touchscreen to match up with the screen underneath?

It I have tried turning it on and off and doing factory resets but it is temperamental and just comes back. After I leave it for a while - i.e. get fed up , I can turn it on and all is good for a while.

Any advice appreciated...

Try disconnecting the battery,as the memory is still active .

Will disconnecting the battery stuff anything else up in the car though??
