    Radio switching channels

I've been noticing from time to time my RNS-510 keeps switching to Hope1032 for no apparent reason. It's not a favourite channel or one that I've saved although I have noted that it has a TP next to it in the menu.

TMC is (and always has been) turned off (since it doesn't work anyway) and I've now also switch it to "only on route" from "all" and it hasn't happened in the last couple of days but it could do that then change every day for a week. The changes tend to be just after startup and not while driving.

Anyone ever had this sort of problem or have any clue what might be causing it?

I think its a setting in the radio via VCDS.
Check adaptation channel 54. This is the 'allow crap stations' flag. Should be set to 0.

That's weird. I would clear the radio memory with the diag cable and setconfig, but otherwise not sure apart from loading a factory firmware that will clear everything...

It's running the latest maps and one of your custom firmwares to get POI's

There is essentially no settings in there other than the 6 preset radio stations, I don't know that I have changed any other setting at all. (which means a reset isn't really a major problem).

If it keeps doing it I might have to drop by one day and get you to reset the thing (unless I can do it via VCDS) since you're holding the setconfig cable

Maybe a factory reset via secret menu would be worth a shot

Some have the ability to keep searching for the next available station with the same name, but as this is not the practice in Australia, it generally ends up switching to the first preset station on the radio.

If this is what is happening, just turn off the feature where the station name is used rather than just its frequency.
