quick question about waywell wd6050 regarding operation

Before anyone poo poo's me on this just hear me out...

I put one in my octavia last night - its borrowed from a mate who had it spare, so I thought why not try it out for fun. my stock radio is a stream mp3 which is pretty basic. I've read all the forums about how bad the wd6050 can be and tbh i don't actually like the unit very much, but it all seems to be working fine, bar 2 things:

1 - the unit only turns on with the ignition turned on (i.e key turned, not just in the ingition for accesories. This i don't really care about anyway.

2 - all the CANBUS stuff seems to work fine - all the steering wheel controls work, and i get hte audio menu in the MFD, which lets me select the input with the stalk and change radio station freq, skip forward and back tracks and everything. Only thing is, I can't work out how to get back out of the audio menu on the MFD to the trip computer.

I know if i disconnect the battery the mfd will go back to normal, just wondering if anyone has ever had a wd6050 working to this extent, and as such figured out how to get back, so to speak. from what i've read, most people don't get this funtionality at all.

Ive had 2 WD6050 both good, 1st one low res latest 800x480.
On off the same.
MFD no probs just press the page button twice.

I have had 0 issues.

I am now trying an MT 8001 8" wince 6 unit . So far so good.

Hi mates... quick question... what is the Page Button???
I do have one of the newer WD6050 on my 2008 MK5 Bora (Name given in Mexico)... it is actually a Jetta. I don't have the MFSW and can only control the Stereo trhu the Audio menu in the MFD+. I have the same issue, can't get back to the MFD Trip computer statistics from the Audio menu.

Do I forcibly need the MFSW???
