    Polo 77TSI speaker upgrade

    Hi folks,

I'm waiting for my baby which is due in October but i was looking at speakers to purchase afterwards and was hoping someone could specify how many front and rear speakers the Polo 77TSI has?

Also if anyone knows the dimensions that'd be great too.

Do any of you have any recommendations of what speakers would be best suited for the Polo 77TSI?

    All help is appreciated.

    Cheers!

4x 6.5" round speakers in the doors and 2x tweeters in the A pillars.

I had no issues mounting the speakers in the back. I had to use 1 or 1.5" spacers in the front. You will need to do the same if you want to wind down your windows in the front

I am VERY happy with my setup, but there are cheaper options on the market.
    POLO 77TSI DSG 5D - MY11 - REFLEX SILVER - COMFORT PACK

Planned - lots, but the "financial manager" says NO

Hey broxigar, thanks for the reply. Question though, where did you mount your crossovers? And do these after market tweeters sit behind the panel that the current tweeters are in or will they be completely visible?

Thanks for the tip about the spacers in the front, those Rockford Fosgate speakers look amazing, congrats

I noticed you're running 2 amps? Why's that? And do you have them placed in the boot or under seats?

PS. take some photos of where your sub is mounted, i'm intrigued!

The tweeters are mounted inside the pillars. I've removed a small plastic strip where the tweeter was mounted to make some space for the new ones. I then used heavy duty double sided tape to stick the tweeter to the actual pillar.

Crossovers are mounted behind and under the dash board. Left on is between the glove compartment and door. Right one is just above the fuse box. Used some cable/zip-ties to keep them in place, not a lot of space to hide them

Two amps, F600 (4ch) to power the speaker and M500 (mono) for the sub. Cables from head unit run to the F600 and then from the F600 to the M500. Had to put a Sub Remote Control between the two amps to manage the volume on the M500.

The amps are in the compartment between the spare wheel and actual boot.

I'll take some photo's tonight and post them in here.

[EDIT] Can't get nice photos of the crossover locations. Sub is just laying on its back in the boot.
