    playing mp3's from RNS510

i have a problem with playing mp3's on my RNS510. I am using a USB memory stick to connect through the MDI. I select MDI on the touchscreen and the first song will start to play - but - it will only play for 15 seconds and then it stops. Its like it has paused but the info on the screen doesn't support this theory, it shows the "previous track - pause - next track" buttons as if it is still playing. the time of the track stops also.
Some of the things i have thought of but eliminated are....
The song name length. Am aware these cant be too long but the song titles are short.
The folder the songs are in. There are no folders on the USB drive, songs are on root directory.
Size of USB drive. Not sure if it has to be of a certain size like the SD card does, but its in the range of MB not GB in size.

    Any clues???
Oh and our iphone plays its songlists fine through the MDI ipod connector.

Have you tried another SD card? There may be a read error.

I have no problems with a 2GB card — later versions of the RNS510 can handle much larger than that.

If it persists, check for a software/firmware update.

not using SD card... using a USB drive.
Think i'll try creating the files again, maybe they are corrupt or something... *shrug*

There's info on my website, check out the MDI section but you shouldn't put everything in the root directory.
