LED started rolling out on late C units.

So if it's a legit F unit, then should be a "given"!

This is not LED version but the seller has LED version costing ~950.

Bump - hoping someone could reply to my query. I have purchased and installed a rns510 1T0035680F SW: 3970 and 9W7 bluetooth kit 7P6035730F. All working fine however I don't get Nav directions or phone book on mfi/mfd. I'm driving a Tiguan 2011/03 build.

Coding corrected the problem. Thanks for the tip.

Another from left field. My rns510 version F says it has a 18.85gb hdd. The seller from eBay advised me to format the drive. Any ideas? I am hoping fw will not be lost?

Where does it say 18.5GB? If it's the screen that shows up when you're copying music to the drive, then this is only the size of your music partition, not the whole drive. On Firmware 2xxx there are 2 partitions (music + maps), and on Firmware 3xxx there are 3 partitions (one for POIs).

If you install the latest firmware it will wipe the drive, but you'll also need a map disc. See the stickied threads in this subforum for more info.
