The Pioneer units are good. There is AVIC950 with the GPS for $750 which I was considering for my 10 years old T5.
I'm looking to replace the stock rcd300 radio in my 06 Jetta with a new unit that has audio in and bluetooth.
I have noticed this Pioneer unit designed for VW's no selling for between $500-$600
Has anyone used this?
Any comments?
Should I be looking at other units?

I've got a pioneer GPS unit, it's now 6-8yrs old and been great. Have always had good sound and reliability with pioneer head units. The GPS works well, though mine doesn't have live traffic updates. The touch sensitivity of the screen is typical of that of its age, so something newer should be more seamless.

Nav + Bluetooth in one box is a nice to have and at that price it's pretty good...
We've had the Pioneer AVIC-F20BT in the van since 2010 providing bluetooth, RVC and Nav. It works pretty well although the NAV has it's foibles like sucky support for camera's and speed zones and few updates... but then pretty much every in car NAV unit seems to suck compared to cheap portable jobs.
Bottom line, it works and gets you where you need to go in a nice integrated unit.

I ended up buying this unit and getting it installed.
All the key features seem to work pretty well.
The interface is a little clunky but for the price very happy with the purchase.
Payed $549 for the unit with all the adaptors and leads included for a MK 5 including the steering controls.
