Phone help for the bluetooth system.

Have a funny issue with my HTC Velocity phone in the Golf.

Phone pairs fine, and the first time it's use, all works OK. Stop the car, turn of ignition, and phone stops talking to the car - as is should.

Start the car, it 'finds' the phone and connects. BUT it will not work correctly. I can access the phone from the car, and make/answer call, but it often works as a speaker phone. I have to stop and switch the phone from the splash screen from BT to speaker and back then it works through the BT in the car.

I've deleted the phone from the car and car from the phone several times, but it's still happening. I had another HTC phone a few years ago, and it would do the same in the Landrover - come to think of it, this does it in the Landrover too.

    Endemic to HTC phones?

I would try it with another phone (preferably a different brand of phone). This will nut out whether the problem is the Bluetooth itself or an issue with your phone.

My salesperson sync'd the Bluetooth in my car upon delivery and ive never had a problem with it (connecting to iPhone4).

Worked fine with the iPhone 3gs I had before so I'm guessing it's the phone. Car worked fine with my son's iPhone too. I'm fairly sure it's the HTC causing the issues.

Try just de-pairing the phone and bluetooth unit and pair them again.
    Sometimes that helps.
    Sometimes.
