    Passat Bulb Upgrade

    Hi guys,

Hoping I'm in the correct section to post this as I assume it is an "electronics" thread.

Looking to upgrade my headlight bulbs without going to HID modifications. At this stage considering the following configuration and after some input or advice...

Low Beam H7 - Phillips Diamond Vision 5000k
High Beam H7 - Phillips Crystal Vision 4300k
    DRL 7443 - KONIK LED
    License Plate W5W - LED

I understand anything LED has to be CANbus compliant.

Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated as I am a noob to VW.. Do love the new car though!

    Thanks in Advance

    For my MY14 Jetta:

H7 - high & low - ordered Philips Extreme Vision from Philips X-treme Vision +130% H7 (Twin Pack) | PowerBulbs

Haven't got them yet...! Ordered when they had a 15% off, but they're now doing a 20% off, but still cheaper than anywhere in Aus.

DRLs - ordered from Bold-Sport.com :: OEM / Performance Parts for Volkswagen VW and Audi

and they're great. Shipping took a while as I ordered just before Christmas.

Also ordered the interior LED from them (not sure if you need that for your Passat!)

Didn't bother with license plates, but I have ordered Parking LEDS from Blingworkauto.com.au - bit more expensive than eBay but only took 2 days to arrive.

    Thanks for the reply yinyang!

I too got onto Howe at Blingwork Automotive Lighting and he has hooked me up with a great LED / Bulb package for the DRL's, Parkers and Rear plate lights. Looks great!

I've opted for Diamond Visions for the Low Beam and X-Treme Vision for the High beams.

All in all happy with the setup. Now I just need to do something about the ICE side of things. Not being able to control my streamed music through the Bluetooth is a real pain!

Tell me about it....! Just went to JB to find out how much install would be, and got told about $450, and that's before I've even decided on a head unit!! Will have to start scouting around, whilst reading about every model of Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine or Sony unit around, and then some!!
