I was hoping someone on here has some experience with these, as I've come across a few issues. I've installed a few head units, mostly through trial and error but this is my first steering wheel controller. My issues are;

1. It doesn't quite behave like the OEM radio, the key has to be turned to accessories in order to get power, then when turning the key from accessories to start the car the radio resets again. I thought this harness was supposed to eliminate that? I should probably note that the power (red cable) is being drawn from the fuse box inside the car, possibly fuse 43 though I would have to check.

2. My steering controls worked when I first installed them, but then I shorted a fuse by accidentally touching the red power wire from the fuse box on the head unit (like a idiot) and now they aren't working. I was wondering if there was a fuse inside the blue box that may have blown? I also thought that I could have hit the programming button on the side when trying to jam everything in.

3. Is it supposed to be grounded or does it get the ground from the can-bus? I guess the head unit is set up on the same wiring so I can't see why it would be any different.
