No Network on Phone GTI MK6

I need some help with the hands free phone side of things.... I haven't had any Bluetooth connection problems it's just that in the last month the monitor is telling me that after pressing "Phone" I have bluetooth connection and sim access activated I and at the top of the monitor tells me " No Network " resulting in an inability to send or receive calls.
I am somewhat mechanically inclined but owning a GTI is new to me and i'm not familiar with them.
Do the cars have there own GSM or arial for the phone ?, to be honest i got no idea, my phone is a samsung galaxy note 4 and no problems when i bought the car about 4 months ago and all of a sudden i got this small problem.
    Please help.

It sounds like you may have a bluetooth unit that has the capability to take over control of your phone's SIM card. (rSAP).
I would firstly try to delete the pairing with your phone from the car, then delete the car's BT connection from your phone.
Then pair them again, and if you are prompted to give access to your phone's SIM card, select NO and make sure to not be asked again.

kamold. I tried it and after i select no to access my phone's sim card, the mfd on car says No Compatible phone detected. It seems it will only connect with sim card access even after all that i still get No Network

Here is a pic of the RNS 510 and the BT module, when the module takes control of the sim card of the phone does the module then use the cars antenna or does it still rely on the phone to make and receive calls ? because it seems to me that there is no access to a cellular signal. I haven't reset my phone back to factory YET but hopefully someone here knows what this could be.

    It uses the car/Bluetooth antenna.

What FW are you running on the RNS510? Have you scanned the car (VCDS). Has the car been for a service etc since it last worked correctly?

not sure what firmware the rns510 is running ... i tried holding the setup button down and i only get the radio's am & fm status. I haven't scanned the vcds and not quite sure what it is but guessing it's the coding for the rns510. and i don't let mechanics touch my cars, I service my own cars and it hasn't been serviced just before the prob and after cause it is't due.
