    False alarm... i feel silly... had left the interior light on and then went away for the weekend. I is stoopid!

    Took a look at the wiring as best I could, everything looks okay (i studied electronics at tafe many, many years ago). The RCA's are sound quest though, not stinger like they said. Tsk tsk.

    Finally, I found this:

    I'm sorry, but that's crap workmanship.

    Take it back and demand they fix it, check your tax invoice and see what parts they charged you for.

    if they have charged you for stinger/audison componants, you shouldnt have stinger or Aerpro!

    It sounds to me like the front splits are out of phase. Very comon mistake. but a stupid one. if the woofers are out of phase to each outher, it will cancle each other out. Try checking that everything is wired corectly. + to +, - to -. That what i would do first. then if you still have no bass, get back to me.

    easiest way to check that is just to fade all the way forward and left, and then shift the balance to the center. if the midbass disappears then they are out of phase and its a simple task of swapping the +ve and -ve on the amp. rinse and repeat left right, front rear untill there is no loss in midbass.

    But yeah i agree with Science, dont accept their shoddy workmanship.

    Thanks for all the support guys, very much appreciated. Wish I lived in VIC!!

    Will take a look at the phase and see whats what. One little problem is that I dont know how to take off the door trims to check. I'm guessing thats where the crossovers have been put... I see no holes or things to unscrew??

    My invoice has on it:
    Stinger 5m twisted RCA cable $18.18
    Fuse Holder $22.73
    installation of splits adn amp $170.45 (yes that typo is actually there)
    installation of deck $102.28
    Solder, tape etc $4.54
    gst = $31.82
    tot = $350.00

    what a load of *****.
    If you walked into my store off the street.

    Install Deck $80
    Install Amp and Splits $180
    Stinger wiring kit incl Rcas and fuse holder ~$75

    and it wouldnt have looked like that!

    **Edit** dont worry about doing it at the crossover, just do it on the amp.
    **Edit 2** thats inc GST

    Next time I'll just put the car on a truck, you can do it then send it back to me, k?

    I do have sound from the tweeters, so I thought i'd do it at the crossover. I'll head out and check the amp now anyway.

    Congrats on 500 posts

    Tried and no luck. The woofers are dead silent. Dont even feel anything when placing my hand on the speaker grills.

    I'm ringing the shop that did the install tomorrow and will be taking to the manager.
    Fingers crossed they'll rip it all out and start again, this time with the RIGHT cabling and charge very very little for it.
