Sorry for being ignorant, but which post are you actually updating with these changes, I have scrolled back trying to find your links, but only came across a dead link.
    Thanks

OK did the upgrade, went straight forward.

lost connectivity to MDF (took a risk and did it anyway) but steering wheel controls and bluetooth works fine

had to setup the radio presets control, but that was about it. maps etc seem faster!

ok after driving to work this morning, all was fine. I must not have left the RNS long enough to talk to the MDF.

no VCDS programming required. awesome work kamold!!

Excellent. Was a bit confused about the MFD...its either all or nothing with the coding generally.

so confirm - this new iso:-
1.will keep the 90/5/5 parition (as i currently have with 4024),
    2.maps won't b lost,
    3.vcds settings (bluetooth & vim) won't b lost
    4.music won't b lost.

if that's the case, then i wouldn't mind trying this out on unit. hopefully its compatabile with mine (3T0 035 680 A).

I can confirm that except for 4 (I don't have music on my HDD) that no functionality is lost with this upgrade.

my maps were there, all my settings were there. partitions didn't change etc. you should be good to go!

another success story, my version F unit had 3970 from the factory so 50/25/25 partition structure, tried the image off gpsunderground to skip repartitioning but failed 3 times on various media, almost died at the thought of having to buy a new radio as the unit became unresponsive and remained at a black screen for 10 minutes, several times

downloaded kamolds version and worked straight away, obviously wiped everything as it had to repartition/previous install attempts had wiped it, had to recode to get MFD functionality, but bluetooth continued to work both on the RNS display and the MFD

now all working great, kinda missed radio text from my old RCD-310 so its nice to have it back, took 15 minutes to find satellites this morning though, we'll see how it goes tomorrow

Can you just confirm your partition sizes?

kamold your a legend mate. I have a C unit which had been upgraded to 90/5/5 from your previous firmware that you did.

All went to plan, no issues at all. I now have Radio text.

Once again, thanks alot for putting your time and effort into creating these firmware builds for us! Also thanks to all the guys above for maning up and having a go before me.
