    Hey Guys,
Is it possible to modify 4120 for Index A RNS510?
If someone is here, maybe he could create or upload this firmware.

My Problem is, that I have "Regensburgsyndrom" and maybe 4120 could help
    4020a is unfortunately down.

you want 4020A? There is no noteable difference (performance and/or aesthetics) to 38XX.

I have run both on my A unit...and can vouch that you gain NOTHING by choosing 4020 over 38XX.

Please check your radio hw version. Do NOT install 4120 if you have 003 or earlier. This may damage your unit.

    thanks for your Experiences.
Most important problem is my Regensburgsyndrom. But RadioText is here in germany insteresting, too.
So: My hope is to get 4120 for A RNS.
    (Currently I found 4020a_70-25-5)

    @kamold
Yes, i Know! I do not have SetConfig, so I could not create my own Version (Without Radio update)
    I have Rev. 0003

    Hello
I've recently replaced my RCD310 with the RNS510 and am keen to get the most out of it. I was all set to update to 4120 when I read the comment about losing maps if your partitions are not already at 90:5:5
Is my vanilla 4020 version likely to have that partitioning? The details of the unit are:
    HW-Version H64
    SW-Version 4020
    Map version HDD 7679
    Delivery part number 1T0035680H
If my partitions are different, is it possible to backup my maps or download a current version somewhere? I don't have a cable.
    Many thanks

Worse case, just re-install your map (CD_7679).

You can find a link to it on this forum, if you click on the google search tab at the top of page and do a search.

Maps are available to download so don't panic. Most likely your unit is not 90.5.5

Thanks for that. I have 2 ISO DVD +R, one for FW upgrade & the other to reinstate the maps I'll prob lose.
The old links to maps didn't work, thanks for the alternate Ryan_R.
I'll do the upgrade tomorrow night.
    Many thanks
