    New Alpine Head Unit needing installed.

    Hi guys im in st kilda and need my new alpine fitted to my mk4 golf gti, jb hifi have qouted me $90 for fitting, is this about right or can you guys suggest somewhere else, this $90 doesnt include parts that may be required,

    any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Cheers nick

    I doubt anyone would touch an install for under $100, is I reckon it is cheap already.

    Average price for installs are $85-$95, you will need an antenna adapter for a mk4.

    I can't speak for that particular JB, however in my experience the big names do not do a good job.
    Mostly the wires are stripped, twisted and taped, instead of soldered and heatshrinked.
    I've seen all sorts of horrible jobs, headunits not secured properly, balls of tangled wire stuff behind the dash and worse, like bare wires shorting on exposed metal.

    I'm from NSW, but i've heard awesome things about PAC
