Thank you for your detailed reply. I just finished reading a whole lot information similar to the link you provided and now understand what the deal is. I'm now not going to go through with it (sigh).

I've also solved the BCM by disconnecting the battery for 30mins and it seems to have reset its self and everything is back to normal and square one.

I keep thinking about LED headlights, although I haven't looked into if it actually works

LED is something I know nothing about, however I'm intrigued. I've seen stores advertising them with similar outputs to HID so one would assume that they will be too bright in a halogen headlight.

6000k bulbs give whiter light but not as MUCH light as say 4300k or nothing above 5200k. Was thread on here about it awhile ago proving that is so.

Apparently LED lights require a self-levelling system too, according to ADR 13.

I was going to ask where you got that from and started reading it myself and writing it all out and seem to have answered my own question:

    ADR13: https://www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/F2015C00543

    Section 6.2.6.2 talks about levelling.

Point 6.2.6.2.2 seems to say that the manual level winder thing on your dash may mean it's allowed.

6.2.9 says you need headlamp cleaning device(s) if you're over 2,000 lumens.

but... you're correct, it seems to say that 6.2.6.2.2 doesn't apply to LED lights... so you need auto levelling
