Hey guys,
I currently have some morel splits in my front doors and a hertz 12" boxed sub in the boot driven by a hertz 4 way amp. Main problem I'm having is that the splits sound pretty harsh, too much top end, even with the treble setting all the way down. I've been told by an audio shop that it's because I'm running the stock head unit just with hi-low converters. They advised getting a processor installe, an audison bit ten. They reckon this will clean it right up. What are your thoughts on this? Will it make that much difference?
Also, I often have to remove the sub when I'm carrying stuff and just running the front splits sounds awful. If I were to get some mid basses or similar in the rear doors would this improve the base to a decent level when not using the sub?
Cheers guys
Simon

Hi Pullstarter,
Which morel speakers do you have and what line level converters did you use?
I often install morel speakers into Golfs and can't say I've ever heard a morel tweeter being harsh.
