    Need help in amp installation.

Got myself a 4 channel Rockford Fosgate amp and boston Aoustic splits for rear speakers, for a fraction of RRP from lifestyle. Just a heads up they are actually having a crazy pre chrismas sale up to 70% off next friday from 7pm to midnight.

Anyways, need help before I jump into it. Whats some general rules in installing them ? So what are some Must do's and Must not's and must remebers? Any tips appreciated...Thanks guys

I normally run power wire down the lhs, rca's and speaker wires under centre console up to the head unit. Try to use existing gound point close to amp if possible, run power for active crossovers or 1/3 octive eq's from head unit as to keep some gound point to limit noise entering system.

The battery ground should already be hooked up to your car body/engine block/etc.. the other ground wire from the amp should be bolted down to the car body. Get some sand paper and sand away some paint as the ground wire needs to be touching metal for better conectivity. Try not to connect it near da petrol tank.

The circle between the battery and the fuse should be a signal filter i think, not to sure though but one of them should go somewhere, i think after the fuse though.

So for the ground wire, some people say they use the seat mounting bolt. Do they mean unscrew the bolt a little and slot the between?

So I basically have the sand down the paint and bolt it back up?

every positive, there should be a negative. so i usualy add a extra neg from battery to somehwre in d engine bay using same size wire.

for the ground yes u just losen the bolt and slip in in and tighten, but sanding it will be better.

Cool thanks ray.. I think I am pretty much set. One last thing, so all speaker wires run from the amp ie NO speaker wire from the head unit ?
