    A2DP stereo into MK6?

My car has the boggo RCD310. I am looking to add a simple a2dp BT reciever to take the audio from my Google phone and output it to the AUX jack beneath the center armrest. Phone hands free is already taken car of by a google car dock.
So I am considering fitting a Belkin F8Z492 or a Kensington Liquid Aux
Given that VW decided to put the 12v outlet no where near the AUX jack makes using either of these two devices more challenging.

Alternatively are there non telephone a2dp capable BT receivers that can be connected directly to the RNS310 somehow that would provide better solution.

I dont mean the full on fancy handsfree BT kits you blokes all have. I just want to be able to send audio from phone to car.

OK I have worked out how I am going to do it.

I want to fit this near the aux jack in my center stowage and hook it up to 12v.

Whats the best way to cut a neat hole (about the size of a 10cent coin) in the plastic stowage to accommodate it?

This will give me 5v 1a right at the Aux jack. Should be near flush & look neat if I do it right. IMO is a worth while addition to the car regardless of what sort of kit I am connecting to it.

Sorry but aren't you trying to reinvent the wheel. What is the point of having music streamed over bluetooth to another device which then goes through your aux input. The extra step will cause more signal degredation. Just but a cable and plug it into your aux input. I can understand if it is already part of your BT phone system but otherwise its just a waste of your time and $$.

I see where you are coming from. But the point of the exercise was to
    1) Get the the media audio from the phone, which mounts in a cradle on the dashboard/windscreen to the Aux jack which VW for some strange reason located in the MK6 center armrest remote from a power source.
    2) Provide a system that does not require me to connect a 3.5mm lead into the phone, every time I want the media audio to feed to my RNS310.

So I have ended up by simply dropping a BT desktop dock which came with my google phone in the center console and plugging it in to the AUX and the USB charger that I fitted. Neat and out of sight. Photo at bottom right - although I have now swapped out the coiled up black cable with a retractable short one.

I then put the google phone in its genuine cradle up in the windscreen. Neater than it sounds by the way. It does all the Nav and handsfree phone audio stuff. While the media audio gets sent to the device the armrest and on to the RNS310.

I agree there will be signal degradation using this method, but I cannot notice it. It sounds great to me although I am no audiophile. The convenience of this method outweighs any percieved loss of signal.

Finally there is an added benefit in that I now have a USB charger built into my center console right beside my AUX input jack. So in the future if I get another phone or someone else wants to feed an iphone or any media player into the stereo... All they need is there in one place. A power supply and the Aux input. It can be Connected by two wires and no BT, like you suggested.

OK makes a bit more sense now.
I think you have made a excellent and very neat mod for what you are trying to do
