modding rear view mirror USB to always live

I have a current model Skoda Kamiq and looking at installing a dash cam with parking mode.

The Kamiq has a convenient usb plug next to the mirror, but it shuts down when ignition is off.

Any ideas on how to change the behaviour, or rewire with the least hassle?

    Thanks

As a 10 year user of Dashcams I have this to say. Never permanently wire one in unless you like spending money on batteries.

The better cameras either have a voltage cutout built in or a module that you wire in to cut the camera off if voltage drops below a preset level, usually 12 v as the low point.

Also what camera are you looking at buying as most good ones work on 12v and a USB only gives 5v.

My Kamiq doesnt have a USB near the mirror that I have found, so a pic of it would be good.
Word of advice You get what you pay for in cameras go cheap you get cheap and if it cant read plates at 3 car lengths its not worth having.
As far as parking mode is concerned someone could break into your car and the camera would never see them as if they approach from anywhere but the front it cant see them..
I had one going for a while but it would pick up a branch moving 50 m away and so not turn off and fill it up with nothing worthwhile

This is what it needs to be able to do

    It's a viofo 119 mini 2
It's got some good reviews, and for $150 it's not bad.
I would love to get a 2 channel or more, but unfortunately that's as far as my budget goes for now

Viofo are probably the pick of the cheapies but a 2 ch is far better and also its hard to add a rear one if camera is only a 1 ch . If you cna extend to the 2 ch is much better and easier to use

I have 2 separate Blackvues because Ive had them for a while and were only 1ch and so had a bit of a job fitting the rear one No matter what you get they will only clearly show plates in a still, not when film running. My pic is from a saved image
