    Mobile phone car vent holder

    Hey guys,

I'm looking into getting a car vent holder for my HTC Desire into my R32.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Has anyone bought one they liked or saw any good ones?

There are a few out there but most are universal crap quality mounts.

    Thanks

I have one of the ebay, but it has a windscreen suction cap. Holder has a hole at the back for the phone's lens.

You can try this mob (who I'm sure used to have a different name) who use a "Clic On" system where you buy a mount and a phone holder separately. It's expensive, but it's designed to be able to go in securely without damaging your car.

I do like the idea of having a generic mount that is then used to screw to different heads when the time comes, but I'm sure you can probably rig something up yourself without too much damage.

All that aside, I have never been a fan of the vent mounts.

I have a cheapy eBay one in my mk6 and it works a treat. Easy to remove and worked just as well in an Octavia rental I had last year. For $6 it's worth a try. It's the vent mount for an iPhone with a specific bracket. Only hassle is I have to take my cover off for it to fit in.

I have a Brodit one in my GTi - excellent piece of kit, includes charging port too.
Brodit is the same as the clic-on ones, you can get the Brodit mounts off Ebay.
I have the side mount - not the vent one though

Is much less obvious outside the car.

I got one just last week off Ebay. Only cost a few dollars. It doesn't work for me because I would have to take the phone out of it's rubber protective cover for it to fit into the mounting bracket. Can't be bothered. You can have it if you want it, I was going to throw it away.

Here's an example of what it looks like.

The Clic On and the Brodit I've looked into but they're bloody expensive It'll cost around the $120 mark.

A went and bought myself a car vent holder off eBay for $5 exactly like what Tensixty6 has shown. I don't have a case so it shouldn't be an issue.

I thought it that doesn't work I'll look into the Brodit one again.

    Thanks for your help guys.
