    Al..
I hope so, that is what I've been reading on ebay.. MY08 and above is ok, but would hate to find out the hard way.

I've got a late 07 build MY08 with the full height MFD and it has so far been OK. I checked my canbus version, it was the L version which is meant to be compatible.

I spent a while trying to reach it from the passenger cabin but gave up and accessed it through the windscreen wiper channel below the windscreen. There was a big plastic cover giving direct access to it.

Got my RCD510 now, get my canbus scanned Tues night (suspect it will be version L like above) and should install it next weekend (and my antenna adapter on its way from HKG in case I need that too).

I'll post up a pic of the finished product

I had a feeling it would be but good to know 100% before I start the install.

Well finished install today.. went fairly smoothly but accidently broke 3 clips along the way. Annoying because I put it all back togethor but then realized I missed putting back the last screw, so had to remove and then put back the last panel and bang, snapped one of the rear clips (shiiiiit!)

CD, radio and SD are fine but my
Bluetooth Parrot 5.10 is not working, anyone know why, is it not compatiable I take it??
I deleted from iphone, paired it back but it won't work over the speaker or anything, couldn't see any settings in the rcd for phone.

Did you splice all the Bluetooth wires into the RCD? I tried to do my Dad's RCD in his GTI but when we got to the Bluetooth we found out we had to splice new wires to connect to the back of the unit to make the Bluetooth work.

Yeah when we got it all spliced up by a professional it worked beautifully. It definitely doesn't work by stock. I'm lucky though, I didn't have those extras so it was a straight drop-in for me.

Hmm, so how hard would it be for an auto elec.. anyone would do it or has to be someone that knows VW?
