A good pair of splits in the factory spots (dash + doors) + a decent amp to run them would be a good start.
Do you wanna keep the oem headunit?
Well I got the original eurovox 6330V radio cassette in my car, and I want to run a half decent* stero system off it. Can it be done?
*Now by half decent I mean:
-Clear sound (most important)
-Alright volume, BUT it'll be mostly just normal volume stuff
-Decent bass
Now speakers etc will be changed - so what speakers - and where - will be best?
Regards/
Yours Truly.

No point buying amps and speakers if your source is no good!!!!!!
I cant stress that enough. Your source being your head unit. Upgrading that alone will increase your sound quality. Buying amps and speakers then listening to them off a old tape deck is like have 300hp and no tyres.
Splits will not give you bass. You need splits for the "quality" and a sub for any bass. If you want to run 'actual' bass through speakers you will lose quality.
How much are you looking to spend?

Bugdet is $400. Was hoping for just a speaker swap + amp. Really want to keep the OEM headunit. Ipod connected of course! <3 those crazy germans!

feeling solid has nothing to do with the sound quality that comes out of them.
