    MFD display with RNS-510

    Hey team

Last year I installed an RNS-510 to my MY08 R32. Then got a Kufatec system installed on top of that. Everything works, no issues.

I recently had her serviced and asked that the dealer re code so that I could get the RNS displays coming up on the MFD (Full screen red MFD) and maybe get the steering wheel buttons doing a bit more for the RNS?

The dealer tells me that there is no coding to be done and that the RNS will not display anything on the MFD.

Can anyone tell me if this is correct? I thought that I would get navigation prompts come up on the MFD and maybe media information?

Not sure about the R32 but most other newer golfs can get the audio and nav on the MDF. where in tassie are you? Might be able to catch up and have a look with my VCDS.

Dealer is talking a load of crap.

You are correct to assume that you will get a LOT more info from your RNS thru the MFD screen. Nav directions, distance to destination/next turn etc, street names

Have a read of this thread..... MFD does not display info from the RNS 510

Thanks fellas. I thought I was on the right track.

I'm over at Austins Ferry Lunchbox, and for the next month I'm actually working normal civilized day shift hours, with weekends off!

    Update

Popped around and saw 'Lunchbox'. Little bit of messing about and quick look at Tony's above post and she's sorted.

I how have navigation page on the MFD and a media page with the steering wheel buttons now getting involved.

    Thanks Lunchbox
