I have seen a couple of examples of these things in action , to be honest I was at first sceptical but they do work . These days with litigation out of control companies will jump to fix something before it becomes a monetary nightmare .

These models, which are powered by a Lithium Cobalt (LiCo) battery, have been sold through various retailers and distributors since September 2016. The Projecta IS1500 is powered by a different battery pack (Lithium Iron Phosphate LiFePO4) and has not been affected by the overheating issue.

When it comes to Lithium, LiFePO4 is the best type for not exploding or getting thermal runaway.

I did read that someone in the CMCA had one overheat and the plastic casing burnt him when he tried to get it out of the car, quite badly burnt, if i recall he had to get skin graphs
