yes theres australian maps for it , though i havent downloaded any as im still setting it all up but it does work , you can easily find maps around or even buy em for $10 from swapmeets , heres where i bought it from and all specifications

Looks good! I would be interested to know what the iPod control is like, are you hooking one up to it?
I was looking at these chinese units for a while but could never get any of the suppliers to confirm the functionality of the iPod control, like the site link you provided, when it shows the screenshot of "ipod control" it shows nothing! I suspect it just treats it as a USB drive with lots of tracks on it.
As iPod control was important to me I went with an Alpine unit, still direct from China mind you!
