Just an update. My Fiscon and iPhone 3G (OS4) now seem to be talking reliably including downloading the contacts when they pair.
Deleting iPhone from the Fiscon's memory, resetting the Fiscon to factory default then re pairing with the iPhone did the trick.

Not sure which version of Skoda Bluetooth I have. (Have not had the time to check) but iPhone3GS with iOS4 works fine with it, phonebook, logs everything comes up properly.

Just need to work out Bluetooth Audio now...

Damn, I didn't see this one in time. OS4 has killed my contacts (RNS + Skoda BT). Calls seem to work ok...just don't know who I'm talking too. Good one Apple. And just to rub salt into the wounds, the attempt to downgrade the OS failed.

I can downgrade your OS for you. Only problem will be you can't restore from a backup that was performed using iOS4.

Thought so. Do you have a MK5 (Red Dot Matrix). If yes, does your mute button work?

Both of the kits your dealer has spoken to you about are not the kits we are talking about here.

The Skoda kit is one that most dealers do not offer (some are however). It sits inbetween the 2 kits your dealer has mentioned to you and is considered to be the best one to get, next to the new bluetooth kit being offered on new cars ordered from July onwards.

Since the iPhone 4 is not out in Australia yet its abit hard to tell, but going off people who have the iPhone 3GS updated to iOS4, with the latest model skoda kits (D and E) there do not seem to be any issues being reported.

    Which is great!!!

    Success!!

iPhone 4.0.1 did NOT fix my bluetooth issue with the address book. The address book was still corrupt.

I then installed iPhone 4.1 BETA on my other iPhone and it worked All my addresses appeared correctly!

So an official fix is on its way, so guys just be patient. It's in BETA at the moment, but definitely does work!
