Thread: Installed a sub... sound sucks..

    Yep, that input has the built in LOC.
    They should have supplied a plug that fits that input with the amp which passes out 4 wires to be connected directly to the speaker outputs (basically, the amp, rather than the LOC, gets directly wired in parallel to the speakers).

    I think it should make a big difference. Where in Melbourne are you or will you be going to Dubstitute? I could have a look at your system if you like.

    Aah thanks, I bought the amp second hand so I do not have this plug, I am on the mornington peninsula, and I have no idea what dubstitute is I still call myself quite new to the community (even though I got the car back in August), just havn't had much time to play!

    Hey kaanage, seller said the amp did not come with this plug, and I had a look at jb-hifi and it doesn't come with one, I bought one off ebay but its smaller than the one I have. Also not to sure how to go about the wiring if I do find the plug, Can I use the standard rc cables im running now? (they are all down the trim and a BBBB to get out).

    But yeah, no luck, just gotten a bit bit used to the sub, but have to turn it down a lot sometimes. Or else it feels like my ears are blocked.
