Install 9w2/9w7 Bluetooth

I've noticed many are buying their bluetooth modules and wiring from overseas as the are significantly cheaper. For those who recieve the wires that are not plug-n-play and require splicing, here is a diagram to help you out t know which wires you need to splice

I plan buying and installing a 9W2 (with RCD-510 with camera input).

Do I need a steering wheel with radio controls on it, or will it work even on a plain wheel?
