    Help with rns 510 compass

Hi need help I installed a rns 510 to my 2012 Tiguan 132 pacific all work well apart from the compass on the 510 always point north.
The gps antena work fine but no matter which way I drive the compass is always pointing north.
Anyone heard of this issuse and how to fix it. The car did not come with a built in compass and I have not done any codeing on the car.
    Any help would be great.
    Tks

I believe the compass has to be activated via VCDS coding.

Its possible that the coding is for a compass, so RNS510 is expecting input from the compass module rather than determining heading from GPS signal alone.
Check with VCDS and disable compass module if enabled.
