Half the DVD's I have don't play, why?

Hi,
I have an rns-510 and half the time I put a dvd, it shows a message wrong region code!!!!

Note : I've put the rns 510 myself and don't have a Vag-Com cable. Does anyone know if there is a coding issue or ...??

and also who in sydney could actually fix it for me in sydney?

Whereabouts did you get the unit from. Australia is Region 4 encoding on our DVDs.

I would hope that with VAG-COM you would be able to change the region that the unit can play similar to what you can do with computer dvd drives and stuff. I'm sure someone on here will no how to change it if you can and be able to point you in the direction of someone with VAG-COM.

From the factory the RNS510 is set to Region 2, go back to VW and get it changed to Region 4 via VAGCOM

ok I've called Skoda ( they have no idea )... I don't know what to do now, I don't have a VAG COM cable. Is there anyone around Sydney that can help me out with my little problem ?
