I might be interested if the monitor was a smartphone, especially iPhone app. Do they have this option?
Hey All,
I'm going to be purchasing an Inawise TPMS-201-D very soon, and thought if anyone was keen to jump on and get a better deal.
Or if any one has used Inawise before...
Website has them at A$319, but I have called them for a price for two units, and was told 10% off, so maybe more than 2 might be able to get more % off.
I currently run a external TPMS (ebay), but as the Skoda RS will be on 19's, I want something better and internal.
Link below, highlight for me is the Pressure Resolution is 0.1 PSI (ebay ones are 1.5 PSI)
TPMS-201-D Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
Cheers

Don't Believe so mate.
Runs on RF, so unit would need need to turn that RF to bluetooth I guess. There are probably some available elsewhere.
HPRS230: Hi. I'm aware that you are proposing an entirely different solution, but HERE is another way of retro-fitting direct reading TMPS which was added to the VCDS thread on the mk7 forum by a Spanish speaking colleague (still self explanatory - even in Spanish).

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.
Hey Don,
Wow, Ive been looking for it Via the VCDS, clearly missed that post.
Has anyone done this in Aus?
HPRS230: I try to have a fairly active profile where contributions to the VCDS thread on the mk7 forum are concerned - I can't recall any forum colleague (in Australia, or elsewhere - other than the author) mentioning that they have implemented XaGiCo's instructions. But of course that doesn't necessarily mean that no-one else has done it and I've seen copies of these instructions on all the major forums (i.e. RT, Golfmk7, Vortex)!
As far as I'm concerned the singular honour as the first person from the "antipodes" to implement these instructions is wide open!! Since you have shown an interest, you might be the front runner - carp diem!!

Im Hearing ya Don,
If I had the time, I prob would, but Full time work and Part time Study and the rest with the misses, doesn't leave any time for cool stuff like that. I am tempted tho...
HPRS230: Naaarrh .... It's only a matter of priority - nothing more! Full time work - not important. Money is your friendly Bank manager's problem, not yours. Part Time study, always a good pursuit. But again, not important - academic courses will be there next year to study! The misses - now that's very different. Always put her at the forefront of your cool-stuff interests!
So, if you arrange stuff in the manner that I suggest above, you should have lots of time to retrofit a direct TPMS - QED!!
