    GPS is off

My GPS is completely off today, I reset the RNS510 three times and still my position is Kms away from the reality on the map. I was driving in Sydney from CBD to Homebush and according to the GPS I was driving across the water, houses, etc.
    Has anyone experienced similar behaviour?

It's factory installed however I removed it a month ago when installed the Bluetooth unit. It was working fine till today. I suspect too that the antenna connection might became loose.
I am not keen to remove the unit again.

I don't think you will have an option. Do you have access to the hidden menu? If you can get to the final menu (ie the one AFTER AM/FM/version) then you should be able to see if the antenna is connected. Also, if you press the MAP button a second time, you should get a window come up which can show the GPS reading. ie number of satellites tracked vs number seen by the unit. If the unit is seeing the satellites but not tracking them then it may be the unit is having trouble processing the information which is usually a sign the antenna is badly positioned. If it is not seeing anything at all, then you're probably disconnected. Hopefully this helps.

Checked both and it doesn't see the satellites. I am taking removing the unit tomorrow.

Just finished and I couldn't find the problem, the connection seems okay at the back of the RNS.
I had a look again at the setup and it says GPS antenna connected, however it doesn't connect to the satellites. Bugger.
I think I will bring it to VW Barloworld soon to be fixed.
