    As far as I know it will be a bee sting. I should've confirmed that, but while I knew the answer before asking I offered the idea of me paying any difference to have a Superb II shark fin fitted as a replacement, but as it's a warranty job, and also as the current antenna is the subject of a TPI the replacement has to be as specified in the TPI, which is a "revised" part to the current one.

    From what I've been able to find out some antennas are prone to corrosion on the base that eventually causes failure. Without erWIN I don't know the exact details, and the dealership wasn't offering up any info either. In fact, I got the idea that they were a bit surprised that I'd managed to find out that there was a known issue.

    Any idea on what the TPI number is?
