GPS location inaccurate after swapping RNS510 between cars

    Hi!
Im hopping some one can help with this issue I am having.
    I have a 2011 Golf R with retrofitted RNS510 and Tiguan 2012 with retrofitted RNS510.
Both have been working well in terms of GPS since fitouts but only have had a problem with a DVD player with Tiguan. Unfortunately I have decided to sell Golf R and have swapped the two units around as I wanted functioning DVD player for my kid on the Tiguan. Since the change after coding etc and resetting I am having problems with both GPS locations.
In Golf R, the GPS location tends to go ahead of actual position and opposite is true with Tiguan with GPS location lagging behind the actual position.
It has been over 1 week since I have swapped the units and admittedly have only driven around Carlton region in Melbourne of 4-5kms per trip.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Does RNS510 learn and store memory regarding engine revs and distance travelled, if it does why does it not reset with coding etc. Can anyone help me with solutions?

    Thank you
    Thomas

I have had this as well before ..... 2 solutions really.

    1. After a few days of constant use, the RNS510 will eventualy recalibrate itself re GPS signal v maps and it should be OK.

    2. If you are impatient upgrade or reload the firmware and its pretty much fixed immediately after re-acquiring the satelites.

Can take up to 30 mins on a drive to reorient. Mine has the zoom set to 50 m and always says "Turn now" 50M before the corner Always has.

Has nothing to do with revs, speedo or coding. Simply needs to see at least 3 satellites for long enough to reorient itself.

Ok will take it for long drive on the weekend n hopefully it will fix itself.
Still curious why on golf r the gps is always ahead a nd opposite for tiguan. There must be some memory like how DSG supposely learns how its driven!
