    FSI wired for below-seat amp?

Is an 2.0FSI golf MkV prewired so that one can simply install an amp beneat one of the front seats, or would one have to lay signal and speaker cables from behind the headunit and to the speakers?

No it's not and yes you do.

An easy alternative is the Blaupunkt P'n"P amps.

Upgrading the audio with the stock headunit without the factory amplifier

I've got the Blaupunkt under-seat amp from my Passat sitting in a box at home - are they all the same? No wiring for it though, but I imagine the wiring would be available from VWA and would be cheaper than the amp... no idea! LOL...

That's the oem amp, these are designed for retrofitting and come with harnesses, no cutting or anything required all plug and play. They fit about 100 cars as well.

So it is only the OEM amp that comes plug and play? I've got an old amp from our old 3 series that I want to use in my car..

No harness with mine, they just gave it back to me when they fitted the arc audio amp that I have.

I need to dig it out and find the part number...

OK, the amp is a 5K0 035 456 - Blaupunkt 8 channel amplifier, manufactured May 09, HW H06, software 0316. No wiring harness, but also with the metal bracket to mount to the floor of a Passat (or Golf V or VI, same part number) 1K0 035 883, and the black plastic piece to cover it all up under the front of the seat - 1K0 971 813 (also the same part number for a Golf).

The amp is one of these: http://www.worldimpex.com/parts/genu...r_1754088.html

Only thing is I have no cables like I said, and I have no wiring diagram for it...

What I meant was the OEM amp is not plug and play, the amp I posted is designed for plug and play operation.
