I also had "Regensburg Syndrome", and initially it went away. Two days later I had trouble tracking satellites, even though the RNS could "see" them. Ended up moving the puck from inside the dash to above the light sensor and secured it with some 3M commander adhesive (used for the removable wall hooks), it's been fine ever since.

Got my car serviced today. Asked for the maps to be updated on thr rns510. (Car is my12.5). The dealer advised that the rns510 is not available to show radio text.. is this true?
If they have updated the firmware on the rns510. How would I be able to tell? And if they updated the maps? I dont have access to the secret menu
They normally wont update the firmware unless unit has problems Easy enough to download and install from this thread
If you cant get the version info it probably wasnt updated as you need 3810 or later to access the info.
Most units seem to have 2760 unless they are very new (2012 on)
2021 Kamiq LE 110 , Moon White, BV cameras F & B
Mamba Ebike to replace Tiguan
After a few days, it seems my RNS 510 isn't turning off at all. I have an 'A" unit running 3810. I was trying to find info on "Fix for old CAN gateways and whether it would apply to my car. Can anyone point me to info on it?
