Good to see VWA continuing to look after its valued customers...

According to the TOC this map CD was produced by Continental in July of 2014. Do they send the update by undersea morse code to VWA for production?
so we're getting down to 12 months now between Map date and release date? That is an improvement.

Got the V8 nav pack from Alex, and it is sealed and genuine. I offered to post the results of my buy from Gumtree here because I thought that might be useful to others if he had more to sell. Unfortunately, he indicated in a text to me that he only had two, and both of those are gone.

Just updated my RNS510 from 2720 to 4120 with thanks to all that have posted here with instructions and feedback. Also updated my Aust maps to v7 and am pretty happy with the results!

Only thing I seem to have lost is the 'next turn' navigation view on my dashboard console (next to the speedometer). Anyone have any experience with this and know why and/or what can be done to bring it back?

    Interesting one here.

Every so often, I will switch to the map display and instead of the map displaying a 200m zoom level that I always have it on, it'll come on showing a 25m zoom level. No massive issue given I just twist the dial and zoom it back out to the 200m setting that I want it to be.

Couple of questions would be (1) why is it doing this? and (2) is there any setting I can input to have the map always default in at 200m zoom range?

Hi dero. Not sure if this will fix your issue, but when I first got mine it wouldn't auto-zoom (which I prefer). I discovered that you can turn the auto-zoom on and off through the zoom button on the far right of the maps screen. If it has an little magnifying glass with a A in it, then its set to auto-zoom. Yours may have accidentally got switched to that. Just switch that off using that button, and then set your zoom level and it might stay at that level. Hope that's what you were after.

Rotate the right knob on the RNS510 to manually zoom in/out, or push it for auto-zoom.

Checked that, it wasn't on auto, but I gave it a shot - slapped it onto auto zoom, it zoomed out and then I disabled it to bring it back to the 200m zoom range.

    See how it goes.
