I thought 5274 would be better if the car is post-2008?
5269 and 5274 can be very unstable on some units, causing random reboots etc.
By all means try them (there are no feature differences to 523 but in general 5238 is the most broadly compatible version.

Thanks for the info and I took your wise advice and updated to 5238 without a glitch. Had to reload the map but all my addresses remained. Parking sensor and climate control on-screen display are all present.
One weird phenomenon is that the headunit will jump back to display bluetooth audio randomly when I have it on a map. It happens when my iPhone switches between songs, but does not happen with every song...

Hi, I have a 2014 VW Jetta TDI that I just purchased.
Delivery port number: 1T0035680L
Hardware version: H09,
SW: 5269,
Map HDD : 8035.
I wish to update my Australian maps to the latest version. I dont think updating the firmware would be necessary since theres no significant upgrade after that. Does anyone know where I could get it? Further what version of maps does 8035 correspond to? V9?? Thanks for your help.

V9 was on sale for about $500 and apparently wasnt a lot different to V8 which most of us use as no one is going to pay for V9
