    Factory Sat Nav or OEM

    Hi,

Just looking at buying the Ltd 25 multi van
Do I go with the factory or oem sat nav and if oem which is best and who installs?

    Original Equipment Manufacturer.
I think you are getting confused between factory fitted vs retrofitted perhaps. Both use oem components.
Retrofitting can be significantly cheaper than paying for a factory option.

Satnav can be fitted for cheaper later as mentioned as far as I know the premium phone kit must be fitted at the factory, and to Multifunction steering wheel, and MFD will be needed as well for the phone kit to function as it was intended. I went with the factory install Bluetooth myself.

I've fitted a factory 9WZ BT unit to the transporter at work fine. But yes, you do need the full MFD screen (not the Game-n-watch style one) and a VAG-Com cable, so it'd be cheaper to just tick the box for that one. Fitting a RNS510 is very, very easy in the T5 but you will need a VAG-Com for that too. I'm sure you'll be able to find someone who has one because you only need it for about 10minutes.
