Rns510 & rvc help please

I fitted an RNS510 C to my MY12 Golf R. I ticked the relevant box in CAN gateway list and all is good as far as nav and steering wheel buttons.

The optical park assist also works fine but he camera doesn't. Can anyone help with tis please?

Mine didn't work when I installed it either. I used the Kufatec kit. When I put the car in reverse, the OPC worked but the screen was just all coloured lines and the badge did not open up at the back. After checking the coding and wiring a million times I gave up and unplugged it.

you have to code the RNS to say it has RVC

From memory: Have you tried a couple of check boxes around the bottom of 39 NAVIGATION in the VAG COM screens? They are labelled as something having to do with reverse camera. I used to have your opposite problem (no RVC) and that fixed it. Sorry cant be more precise as I don't have it in front of me

So do you have the parking guidance lines appearing on the screen too? Does the optical park assist appear on the same screen as the reverse camera? I retrofitted a camera but it doesn't have the lines and when activated shows the box on the left where the optical park assist should be, but there's nothing.

I am having the same colored lines problem. I have coded it for back up cam low. Is there something else that's needed?

Yes I do have the lines and the icon of the car is on the screen although you can opt to not have it. Sorry I can't offer anything to help you

Not sure exactly how I did it now, a fair bit of trial and error with the coding
