Does sunroof knob have LED indication?

Hi anyone out there with a hole in their roof.

Have just picked up my MY10.5 Passat Wagon and was wondering if like all the other fancy illumination in the cabin, whether the sunroof rotary dial actually contains an LED indication?



Let me know if the clear indicator on the knob just shows you the position of the sunroof or whether it is meant to light up as I suspect the dealer might have accidently disconnected something when they installed the BlueTooth microphone?

I chose not to get a sunroof in my new Passat, however my previous (2007 Passat TFSI) had a sunroof and yes it lite up.
However it was a twist switch, not a knob. The 2009 onwards now have a knob (as in yours).
I hope that makes sense...

So yeah, maybe they did not reconect.

I'll see if anyone else that has a similar sunroof knob can confirm/deny whether it should light up when on before I go back to the dealer.

YES, sunroof fully functional in every position (tilt & slide back) and has been very handy to vent out the new car smell & all the leather/vinyl protection crap I had optioned up with the lease company.

I have a MkVI GTI with a sunroof. No illumination from the rotary switch, which looks virtually the same as yours. Having said that, the "clear indicator" you describe is just more of a raised line in my car - so you can feel the position the roof switch is in. I can't see it clearly - especially at night - and so go by counting the number of notches to open and close.
