Has anyone found that they are unable to alter the voice levels in the Sygic software settings? I have the button to do it, but no matter where I place the slider, the volume levels remain the same.

Just read the setup instructions. Should have done that first. I see it is controlled from the system settings.

I have a DNS-810 and I have a query regarding the Bluetooth and Phone Books. How many different phone books can be stored?
I only seem to be able to store one and when I store another the first one is wiped from the DNS and then it will not autoconnect to the first one either. Is this correct or is there a setting somewhere that I have missed?

    Any help greatfully appreciated.

Hello! Today, the Chinese sent a new version of firmware for DNS with an older version of CAN module.

So, everyone must be happy with their new units as it's pretty quiet in here!

People probably busy as well. Mine is working fine. The new canbus/old unit firmware is a bit buggy in some places, but otherwise working like normal.

Still waiting for an upload of the new Sygic maps, though.

How did the chip swap go? Still haven't gotten around to mine yet. Was it much work to do?

Relatively straight forward, but a bit fiddly. Have a look back a few pages and you'll see a bit of back and forth about it. Desoldering and prying the board up was the most difficult, just had to heat it up and free the pins from the solder. Wick+solder sucker definitely helped.

Just waiting on a proper firmware update as well, the one that gave us compatibility was just quickly thrown together, it seems, missing functionality etc. Works fine otherwise, just as it did with the old chip, just nothing new, that's all. It boots a lot quicker, though, so that's nice.

went away for a week and returned to find the battery completely dead in the Golf. Battery was only 6mths old, and had no issues previously. I suspect it was caused by the new DNS810. Car was in garage, no key in ignition, and doors unlocked.
Anyone else found a current drain?

Having the doors open could have caused ur drain. I left mine for 10 days in January and no battery drain at all. But mine is a mk5 and they were the ones with the canbus issue and battery drain issue.
    Mine: -MK5 Golf 2.0TDI[Deiselgeek sigma 6 shifter + H&R 50mm lowering springs + GTI Tartan interior + Audi 18x8 A6 wheels(Dark Steel)]
    -MK1 Golf The re-spray/re-build
In the family: -MK5 Jetta 2.0TDI, -9N3 Polo TDI, -6R Polo TDI, -Mitsubishi S^$&box van
A pattern seems to be forming...
