It seems to be great with the latest firmware but unlike Moda I cannot get Sygic to work on my unit.
My dns610 has problems that the 810's don't.

    Hello,

i´m new here. My name is ahmethan from germany. I also buy a DNS 810 last year with the old canbus. I make an investigation to using the second core in wince 6. I found this option to using dual core in wince 6.

This was the link to the blog which contains this option. Maybe dkn, moda or asa572 communicate this option to the technicians of audiosources. Sorry for my english. I´m from germany.

Nope, still waiting, and I'm still running a preproduction unit that has Bluetooth issues. Sandy has said he is happy for me to get a proper production unit, but I'm still waiting.
    Mine: -MK5 Golf 2.0TDI[Deiselgeek sigma 6 shifter + H&R 50mm lowering springs + GTI Tartan interior + Audi 18x8 A6 wheels(Dark Steel)]
    -MK1 Golf The re-spray/re-build
In the family: -MK5 Jetta 2.0TDI, -9N3 Polo TDI, -6R Polo TDI, -Mitsubishi S^$&box van
A pattern seems to be forming...

Everyone thought I was crazy when I told the forum about my bad customer experience. One of the major posters on here told me "Sandy" contacted a moderator and that's why all my posts were deleted, even those not related to this group buy.

Knowing what I do now about his actions towards me and the delays (the wedding was over a month ago) and broken promises I wouldn't trust "Sandy"

How do you know he will continue to support the product through the forum?

It's not worth the risk in my opinion

Not trying to make anything into any controversy or whatever, like it seems you want to (???), but any dealings i've had with Sandy have been fine, fairly good/quick to respond and nice guy to deal with IRL. Young professional (older than me though, i'm guessing), but he's been around on the forums for a while, and has a fairly decent rep otherwise.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter, its an Audiosources product, whether it comes from AS directly, where you get pretty limited support, not in their native tongue (which is extremely typical of any chinese company - horror stories of people dealing with Eonon and other similar companies etc), or it comes from Sandy, the product is the same.

It may be that he's just wanting to give everyone time to reply to his PM? IDK. My reply went unanswered, but that was fine since it was just a simple 'yep hook us up brah'.

It would be interesting to see if Audiosources have implemented this or not. Might have to pass this on.

My understanding, though, is that WinCE6.0 just doesn't have the proper support for modern dual core processor architectures. You have to recognise that it's an 8 year old operating system, so yea. Later versions of CE would be much more well suited to this hardware, but there just isn't much use of it for various reasons (expertise by programmers, and probably the availability of the software in china, would be my 2 main guesses). To be honest, Android is much better suited, now, than WinCE. I'd much rather see Audiosources build an Android version of the DNS, than try and adapt WinCE7/8+. Doubt that will happen any time soon, though.

    Hi moda,

you have right with your opinion about the newer OS. But now we have wince 6 as OS in our DNS. Its just a method to get wince 6 to work faster. Then we can use IGO without any problems.

Most of the Audiosources staff including the manager and my sales contact are away at a South African car expo and will return tomorrow. I will then wrap things up with a view to closing the group buy this weekend. I need to confirm that all my return units (for which AS will replace with new production units to form part of this group buy) are received and credited for the group buy order. Last I checked they were slowly trickling in from HK, several units at a time, because of customs restrictions. There are about 10 in total.

As for the private messages, I have been sending group messages out to everyone about the group buy and asked everyone to confirm their orders. Naturally I now have a pile of them in my inbox and most are just confirming what they have ordered. I plan to work through them and cross-check with my invoices and send everyone still in the group buy a final updated invoice so there is no further confusion. But that takes time. Again, I have said many times, until that is all done and I actually place the order with Audiosources, anyone can pull out at any time and get full refunds.

polski_ogurek it seems I have missed you in the list of people that I PM'd. I will PM or email you shortly but as I said anyone with the pre-production unit can have their unit replaced.

As for your posts in my thread Hotbmwm3, a moderator contacted me and asked me if I wanted to do anything about them. I said I was fine with them because I am happy to publicly respond as I don't have anything to hide, however I can see they were crowding the thread so he can do whatever he thinks is fair. There is no point in escalating this but I'm happy to PM you who the moderator was if you want. In any case this is a thread in the Audio section and not my sponsored section, so if a moderator deleted your posts then there was obviously good reason to do so regardless of who initiated it.
