If it is correct the radio sound muting problem when starting is still happening and all preset stations come up point 1 to 2 less when selected.
So 102.1 shows up as 102.08, 105.3 shows as 105.28 and so on

Just wondering if anyone's GPS SD slot cover doesn't fit properly like mine?
That is the correct firmware. On mine the radio does not mute when starting anymore and I don't have your frequency issue. Can you turn RDS off, select all the stations one by one, then turn RDS back on, and see if it makes a difference?

Also how is your radio signal? Did you need the dual FAKRA adapter?

Regarding the SD slot cover, they might take a few jiggles to put back in after you pull them outwards a bit. Just focus on the bottom section and it will go in flat eventually.

The few bugs I have noticed for the new firmware:

The parking sensor screen overlays the FM radio so you can see the car and the sensor but background is still transparant so you can see the radio.
The parking sensor switched to camera (even though I dont have one installed), I can press the icon to return to normal parking sensor.
Confirmed that audio stutters during NAV/SD playback. Could it be the size of the card, I have a 32gb in mine - prehaps Audiosource are testing with a small SD card? I'll try do a test tomorrow with a 4gb card.
No I was just able to confirm the stutter with Nav / SD myself, it seems to only happen when satnav is moving. I spoke to the technician he thinks it's because SD decoding is chewing up a lot of resources because it is all done by the ARM CPU now, which also handles the 3D graphics for navigation. They need to optimise SD decoding performance.

Ok - did some further testing. Using a 4gb card seems to only slightly improve performance on startup times.

Still lengthy delays when going to next track and stuttering occurs.

Note - the car must be driving with GPS on and on the screen (these issues do not happen with GPS on parked in the garage).

This is how I replicate the issue:

Start with GPS running, Map on fullscreen.
    Launch SD
Play song (first song plays fine, then delay to change track, then subsequent track has stuttering).

Sandy -do we know if Audiosource is testing in a lab or actually testing in a car that is driving. If not the latter, it seems you can't replicate unless driving.

**edit - ahh just saw Sandy's post - yes issue is when moving.

Have they figured out what's causing the crash for when you exit the GPS app? Does the mirroring flip and slow whiteout effect

Yup iGo has a demo function though so you don't have to be driving - I've explained it all to the software guy so they should be onto it now.

I can't replicate this issue, my GPS exits fine. Could it be related to the GPS software you are using?

Seems like it has stopped muting when starting but the channels being out is still happening when RDS is on or off.
RDS has always been hit and miss on mine with each firmware update.
Radio signal is fine and yes I needed the FAKRA adapter.

I'll check with the technician - my radio has been fine and I also needed the dual FAKRA adapter, having a Golf 5. RDS has also been fine, the only issue is when in a certain spot with heavy interference it tends to try to re-scan the RDS name (that's when you see funny symbols come up on the RDS name) but the frequency and radio signal is fine. The RDS name also fixes itself once I pass the interference spot.

Do you have any other issues with your unit?

Well I can confirm that the white screen due to cold is completely fixed in the production units!! It has been -20 Celsius all week and unit works perfectly.

Also worth noting that the most recent firmware has fixed excessive bass issue so I can have +3 bass at +30 volume and sounds very very good. Also those with mk6 with mfd+ the right side steering wheel buttons no longer control the DNS so when moving up and down in the mfi screen it doesn't change stations. A lot of improvement in each firmware. Great job AS.

My SD/Nav memory issue appears to have gotten marginally better with the latest update but the issue is still there. Im currently using a class 4 33GB card but I have class 10 32GB card here im going to try just to see if it makes any difference. Good to hear they are narrowing down on the issue. Also my BT audio quality appears to have gotten slightly worse lately. The highs are really crackly and the whole thing sounds really flat & washed out compared to SD/radio etc. Do you know if they are looking into this at all Sandy or is it a hardware issue as you said it might be earlier? Thanks mate!

Last night I re installed the latest firmware and first thing I did was set preset stations.
Got to station seven and pressed preset, selected 7 to 12 and held position 7 to save station and the unit just locked up.
Had to hold both buttons in to shut down.
When I restarted it hadn't saved the last 2 stations i'd saved.
But then it just worked as it should. Stations were correct and not dropping point 1 or 2 even the RDS was working properly, which has never done on my unit
Then I turned the ignition of pulled the key and then went to start the car and farkin bang, back to mute.

As for other issues Sandy, I haven't been driving my car enough to find out if there are any.

    Radio works (fingers crossed)
Bluetooth works and have never had a problem with it no matter what firmware was used.
Sat Nav hasn't crashed since latest firmware ( not that i've used it much).
SD works fine but would be happier if it was set up to play the next folder instead of reverting back to folder 1.
GPS SD slot cover does not fit properly.
I bought this unit for SAT NAV, Bluetooth, SD, USB and the Radio and I might put in a reversing camera, that's it.
If they work I don't care about the missing features, screens ect.
