My aux-in jack no longer worked after I installed the DNS810 - so I assumed it was not supported. Is it supposed to work?

    THanks!

I'm not sure, can't remember if there is a setting in there or not, I'll have a look when I go to uni in a bit. Auxin jack should work, its part of the big wiring harness (from memory), unless they changed it in the new version... but mine works, so IDK.

Has anyone had battery drain issues??
I drive my car everyday but over the weekend I didn't drive it.
Went to start it this morning to go to work and the ****er won't fire(not cranking fast enough).
Battery is only a few months old.

Ok, so I had a look, it might be 'Back A Car Track' (should be on), or maybe the camera power setting? Mine is set to high power.

No real battery drain issues here. If it sits there for a few weeks it may chug a little bit (brand new battery), but otherwise no other issues.

Quick guide on how to change the timezone.

    1) Download GpsPasSion Forums - MioPocket 4.0 (Unlock for GPS devices)
    2) Extract Total Commander to SD Card
    3) Insert SD card into GPS slot on unit, change navigation path to total commander, press nav to open Total Commander
    4) in TC, navigate to /windows/ and double click explorer.exe (this will open up the WinCE shell - Annoyingly its in chinese)
    5) Open control panel (the start bar may be obscured by the lower fascia, so you may have to stab blindly at the bottom of the screen to get explorer/the start menu open)
    6) go to regional settings, change time zone, click ok, reboot unit, replace SD card, change navigation path back to Sygic

Timezone will be sorted. Should persist on reboots, probably not on reflash though.

I must note that WinCE is all in chinese, and the start bar may not show up first when you open it, in which case, go to the units menu and it might decide to show up, or just stab blindly at the bottom left corner and it should pop up. The whole thing is a bit fiddly and not ideal, especially since its in chinese, but yea, not much you can really do, just gotta play around and interpret whats going on creatively.

I had much the same prob, put a meter in the system and was getting a highish current draw but found that it dropped right off when the car was locked ,so now have it locked in the garage and so far its good to go. Cheers

Thanks Moda - that worked. It is a bit fiddly as you say, but eventually I found it.

TOok a look at my hidden menu and all my settings match yours. I've contacted audiosources to see if they can provide some assistance. It wouldn't be a DTV or DVR record setting would it?

And for the aux-in - mine is in the glove box (2008 model) - I assume the input on the DNS810 should be "Aux In"? Yeah, doesn't seem to work - perhaps its the 2008 model year that doesn't work with this.. not a big deal though..

Heard back from Audiosources on my rear camera issue. They say there is an updated SW release they will share with me soon that may resolve this.

So I got my rear camera working (it was the wiring hookup) - and i've got the wiring going to the rear of the car, however, now I'm having problems getting the camera attached to the rear of the car. Its this style of camera - http://tinyurl.com/nfgfq5m not one that replaces the license plate late. The nut itself can't come off -

Any advice on getting this on a VW rabbit/golf?

    Dave
