DAB+ Radio in new Polo/Golf?

I've seen a number of recent European/UK reviews of Golfs and Polos showing DAB+ Digital Radio as a standard feature, particularly in the UK. Is this available in new VW cars in Australia?
If not, do the audio systems in the 2016 cars have the ability to activate DAB+ radio through the firmware or it a hardware function that is only available on VWs in Europe/UK??

The reason for my question is that I've just ordered a new MY16 Polo GTI with the upgraded 'Driver Assistance Package'. It would be great to have DAB+ along with AM & FM? Is it possible?

DAB in Europe is not the same as DAB+ in Australia and it is a hardware part of the unit.

As it only works?? in high signal areas it may not be worth the trouble We live 40 mins out of Brissy city centre and reception is scratchy most of the time. Only works with a longer aerial and not all the time. I believe some of the latest RNS510's or entertainment units do have it. Not cheap though

I think there is a place on the Sunshine coast that actually does it.

The DAB+ radios have a different mainboard in them to the older units You can buy a RNS510 with DAB+ for about $1500
