Create your own startup logo for your RNS-510

Website takes an appropriately sized image of your choice (or use one from the gallery) and creates a custom ISO image to download.

Create your own custom bootlogo for RNS510

Have not loaded an image with it myself but have looked at the file structure on the iso and it looks good.
Only writes a new startup logo, doesn't change anything else. So the ISO is only ~4MB.

I am going to bet photos of breasts are the most commonly processed images.

Are you connected with the site or the developer at all ?
Seems very generous on their part...

Nope, I have no association with them, just sharing the wealth. Read the notes and FAQ, its just a couple of guys having fun reverse engineering the firmware load process.
I did the same thing with the HDD repartitioning.
    Nerds like to share

Cool idea, only I don't have any pictures (or inspiration) on what to use as a replacement. (Higher quality VW logo or car photos I guess).

If anyone does this I wouldn't mind seeing the photos shared here (if allowed).

Browse through some of the galleries on there...some absolutely awful pics...quite humorous.

Has anyone had any success with the iso downloads? I have tried three CDs with no success. I am rebooting system with eject/*? setup buttons, then, after inserting the disc the system restarts and doesn't seem to recognise the iso file.

Other software updates require that you turn the unit on with the key NOT in the ignition. Once booted, insert the CD, reboot it with those 3 buttons and wait. It might appear to ignore the CD, but just keep waiting for a few minutes after its booted, and it may start updating all of a sudden.
