Might help you in your install - my old install / questions thread. Geez I sounded like a noob back then ( well hopefully that's changed! )

I probably will take the outer door skins, I have a mate who is a panel beater who offered to help.

Thanks for the link Greg, its quite a long thread.

Thinking of getting a Focal SB 27 V1 sub enclosure for $500 at my local store. Looks fairly small and shouldnt be too hard to take out when needed.

Does this wiring kit look suitable?

    Equipment so far:
    Alpine PDX-5 amp
    Pioneer AVH-P3200BT head unit
    Hertz HSK 163 3-way components
    Focal SB27V1 sub

with 2 way or 3 way speakers there is always a compromise in sound quality, thats why high end gear generally uses a seperate speaker for the frequency range, they can capatilise on the cone shape and better magnets, and construction. Aftermarket Dynaudio's or Boston pro's are the go, but it's one of those things where you get what you pay for!
2010 MkVI GTI Carbon Steel, Leather, Sunroof, Dynaudio, MDI, Detroits, ACC and i went the manual! Stg2 APR tune.

Say what? 3-ways do have separate speakers for different frequency ranges. Are you talking about splits?
